why food to address emotions?

Most of us are "emotional" eaters...we are happy...we celebrate with food...we are sad....we reach for "comfort" food....we feel anxiety, we try to quell this with food or alcohol...

Learning how NOT to succumb to food intake when we feel emotional changes will go a long way in not having a weight problem exacerbated by a mood change. We are all human ( except for me when I take a pseudofed) and we will always have emotional ups and downs. It is life..and life deals all of us some interesting challenges. Making ourselves less healthy by detrimental eating behaviors will do nothing to solve the mood issue other than self-flagellating for not staying focused on our weight loss efforts.
