This weekend there are many cookouts, gatherings and opportunities to be around many people who will be doing lots of alcohol consumption and high-caloric intake. It is very challenging, if you are in a mode to lose weight, to be around this eating/drinking environment and not feel compelled to join in.
Mentally, try to focus on all the reasons why weight loss is so important to you and try to separate the "fun" of being with others from the caloric intake. It is difficult to separate these, but truly, enjoying the company of others does not require drinking alcohol or overeating. (Unless you cannot stand the people you are hanging out with, in which case the alcohol could serve a purpose!)
